Renault Megané: Sexy, Sporty and Oh So Powerful
The new Renault Megané Renaultsport 230 F1 Team R26 Limited Edition surely is a mouthful, but it lives up to its name, every inch of the way.
It is front-wheel drive and comes with a six-speed gearbox, two-litre petrol engine and a turbocharger. With a top speed of 235km/h and 170kW – about 10 percent more than a Golf GTI, the new Renaultsport is sure to make some heads turn, or rather spin.
The limited slip –differential is a different way to keep the driver out of trouble. It has stiffer springs and suspension and a modified exhaust. The colour is liquid yellow – the same crazy/fun colour that the Clio Renaultsport V6 used to be.
According to Renault, this is “the most driver-focused hot Megané yet”. It’s got lovely Recaro seats and the looks are striking.
For about R274 000, the new Renault Megané Renaultsport 230 F1 Team R26 Limited Edition is one powerful machine. Let’s just hope the consumers don’t lose interest after trying to read it’s very long name.
