Civic Type R - Perfect For Everyone
The Honda Civic Type R is designed for the family, but specially for the older generation.
The Type R is a quieter, more refined and user-friendly car than its predecessor. The elderly don’t always know exactly what to do if there are too many features and gadgets in the cockpit. So the Type R is perfect for those who want a simple car but still likes to make an impression. The free-revving VTEC engine rides smoothly right up to an astonishing 8000rpm.
It only produces 0.7kW more than the standard model and can reach a top speed of 233km/h. It goes from 0 – 100km/h in 6.6 seconds and uses around 9.2 litres of fuel for every 100kms.
The front seats are quite high and the steering isn’t nearly as much of a challenge as it can be in other cars in the same category.
The black mesh grille and 18” alloys makes it look trendy enough for the younger generation but not too modern for the golden oldies. We know Hondas are reliable cars and everybody likes them, but the senior citizens really, really love them and we think the Civic Type R would be a perfect car for those who are slightly older but still young at heart.
