The BMW Xcountry scrambler – it takes you anywhere
With a weight of only 144kg and a lightweight steel and aluminium frame, the BMX Xcountry scrambler is the lightest BMW motorcycle available. It can take you anywhere on the road as well as off.
The BMW G650 Xcountry scrambler, G650 Xchallenge hard enduro and the G650 Xmoto Street Moto are three new models of BMW that are designed with comfort and freedom in mind. They are all powered by a 652cc single cylinder engine that develops 39 kW at 7000rpm and torque of 60 Nm at 5250rpm.
A smaller 9.5 liter fuel tank on the Xcountry adds to the light weight of the bike and for comfort, a convenient adjustment setting for length and a high-rising aluminium handlebar are fitted. ABS brakes are available, but can of course be deactivated when you are out to have some serious fun in the jungle.
Not only can this bike satisfy all your off-road needs, it is just as comfortable driving around town with minimum vibration and a comfortable saddle. It retails for R70 600 and the ABS brakes will cost an extra R4000.
