Subaru saves life in Alps
After a snow storm in the French-Italian Alps, a father was told that emergency services will not be able to reach his 14-year-old son after a skiing accident.
Geoff Cox, father of 14-year-old Adam decided that there is no way he would let his son lie in the snow storm without medical services. So he simply got into his Subaru Forester 4x4 and even though other vehicles were abandoned, the Subaru made it to Adam and brought him to hospital safely.
Adam is a member of an alpine ski racing team based in Kendal, England and while skiing in Montgenevre, suffered a triple fracture of his cheekbones during an accident. The nearest hospital to the skiing spot was in Briancon, which was 16km away.
The snow was lying thick on the mountains and Geoff said that the ride down the winding mountain pass covered in snow wasn’t easy but it was definitely worth the trouble.
MD of UK’s Subaru, Andrew Edmiston said they are delighted the Forester proved such a trustworthy toll in what could have been extremely distressing circumstances.
Well done, Subaru.
